There is a certain mystique about Wells, not the least of which has to do with the allure of gold that still draws prospectors here. It makes Wells a unique place, unlike any other in BC and it is something that inspires Eric Andersen. Not every visitor is on a quest for gold, of course. Most come for the incredible natural outdoor playground and the myriad of activities that can be undertaken in every season. Eric enjoys chatting with tourists and the many seasonal workers that stream into town every year.

What really makes Wells special, even more so than its spectacular setting, is the people who call Wells home. Its familiar, small-town feel makes it easy for residents to get to know each other on a personal level, which in turn fosters a family-like community feel. Eric appreciates how locals look out for each other and how committed they are to making their town an enriching place to live, as evidenced by the number of wonderful community organizations that are active in town. Eric is himself involved in several of them.

Eric is a big outdoorsman, which is one of the reasons he chose Wells as his home. When he's not working he likes to pursue outdoor adventures. His favourite outdoor recreational activities include hiking, biking, fishing, river rafting, snowmobiling and camping.
